the constellations

I can't get this song out of my head... so, of course, I have to share it here.  It's Felicia by The Constellations. In all fairness, here's my warning... The video and the song are not so kid-friendly.

The song's hook is:
Oh Felicia babe, I think I really need ya
So sexy when you're working on your knees girl
I'm out of my head, I don't believe ya, I need ya...

Um... yeah.

A few of the perks of having older kids is...
1. they never want to go anywhere with me, so I travel alone (and get to listen to my music)
2. when they do ride along with me, they are plugged in to their Zunes and iPods
3. the truth is, I'm probably not going to watch/listen to anything that will shock them at this point

The Constellations' album, Southern Gothic, will be out next month (June 22nd).  Here's a preview.  Let me know what you think.  (Oh, by the way, I can't help but think about Sandra Bullock every time I see this video.)

  2. I am not familiar with the song and not sure it is my "thing"

I like having older kids too but we do share a lot of music in common, luckily.

I can see why it reminds you of Sandra, but these girls have more class.....

  3. We are still listening to Old MacDonald at my house. Stopping from SITS!

  4. Sad, but true. In all honesty, I think it's the parents who are most shocked rather than the kids. Course, mine are late teens and 20's. But still.

That's awesome! I've trained my kids to like Bob Marley. That seems to be our middle ground.

Thanks for your kind words on my Julia post. It means a lot. Thanks for stopping by!

OH and BTW...You need to play along for Musical Monday hosted by Diane of Good Mourning, Glory. I think you would really like it.
