summertime and the living is easy

I know I've been MIA the past week or so, but that's only because I've been having way too much fun to take a break!  Here's a quick run down of some of what we've been up to....

We went to see Audra Mae in Annapolis.  Pete Best opened for her.  (Isn't that the best name??)  Later in the week, we made our way over to St Michael's and watched Blues DeVille play.  We hosted a get-together at our house Friday night and spent yesterday at my father's with a bunch of family, eating and drinking and having crabs.  There's still two days left to this wonderful weekend... plenty of time to have even more fun!

My niece put together this photo show of our little soiree from Friday.  I swear it was just some sausage on the grill and a few things I had around the house, but she made the night and my house look so awesome I thought I'd share it too.

On this Independence Day, take a moment to check out the coolest playlist that Katie put together.  It's an homage to country music.  How much more American can you get?

I hope your weekend is lovely and you take a moment to be thankful for what we celebrate today.  As citizens, we might not always agree with our leaders, but when the day is done, there is still no doubt that this is the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

  1. I read a comment you made on another post about not being sure if MD was the south or not. While I know where the Mason/Dixon is, I can asure you that it is not!

I live in Anne Arundel County but am origina;;y from Nashville and there is just nothing southern about this place. Nice place to live but not a southern place to live.

    Love your blog!

Stop by and check mine out if you get the cnahce.

    Thanks!
